We are always exited about meeting new patients during their first visit to the office. This is a time for the orthodontist to listen to patient concerns and also provide a thorough examination. Before meeting with the doctor our clinical staff member will take you on a tour of our office and then take a panorex x-ray and digital photos. After these records are taken the orthodontist will be able to indicate whether or not treatment is needed, and if needed when the best time to start treatment would be.
If treatment is ready to begin we understand your time is valuable so to expedite treatment, we have reserved time for you to have your diagnostic records taken at your initial exam to save you an appointment. These diagnostic records include a lateral ceph x-ray and impressions for study models and are necessary for developing the appropriate treatment plan.
During the initial exam for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We also encourage you to ask questions as well.
